GENERAL INFORMATION

Latin name: Parupeneus heptacanthus

Body length from 80-190mm. Found in coastal waters with a muddy substrate. Forms large schools, feed on zooplankton, benthic organisms and detritus. Quickly adapt to the environment conditions. In the summer, this species can be found in all three regions of Viet Nam, i.e. North, Centre and South. In the autumn, it migrates to the South. In the winter, it inhabits mainly in the South.
